Description:

This is a red leather workbox with ball and claw feet. The contents are included. This belonged to Mary Hennell. Mary was the eldest sister of the Hennell family and friend to Mary Ann Evans (George Eliot). Mary died of tuberculosis in 1843. Cara Bray (nee Hennell) gave this box to Annie Fridlander.
