firstly, a 3 Sep 1625 indenture (wherein Carewe Fitch and his wife Mary promised to convey to George Cope (of Knowle Hall, Warwickshire, esq.) before 1 Nov 1625 a messuage (lately severally occupied by Samuel Addams (deceased), Richard Palmer and John Barber), a tenement and a piece of ground (likewise held by Margaret Hersey (widow), Arthur Healey and John Worth) in Allesley, then a C Fitch's, plus a garden with a stripe (then cultivated by C Fitch's assign William Flint) on the west side of the messuage and on the north side of the Coventry-Meriden highway, C Fitch paying Thomas Witherings (of Lamber Street, London, silkman) £45 by 29 Nov 1630 under the terms of a bond (3 Sep 1625) wherein James Savage (of London, merchant), George Cope, and William Cave (gent) were bound to Thomas Witherings in £90 with payment of £15 to G Cope); and secondly, the C And M Fitch have levied a fine: therefore, for £100, C Fitch releases Cope from obligations under the indenture and fine
