Bequeathing 1. to nephew John Fairfax and his lawful heirs and in default of such issue to Elizabeth the sister of John and her heirs and in default of such issue to her brother William and heirs, lands called Welch Close or Closes in Ladbroke, Warwickshire; 2. to Ann Ryley, maidserv,ant of the testator and to Elizabeth Camden of Tanworth-in-Arden, spinster, two annuities to be paid on a quarterly basis each year for life, tyhen after those women's deaths both annuities to be paid to maids and widows nominated by Coventry corporation, the annuities to be charged to the testator's dwelling house in High Street, Coventry, to two stables in Little Park Street (one used by the testator, the other by Mr. Brd) and the garden adjoining them and also to a close or croft outside Greyfriars' Gate; 3. to John Fairfax and his lawful heirs and in defaut of such issue to William Fairfax and his lawful heirs and in default of such issue to Elizabeth Fairfax and her lawful heirs, the testator's house; 4. to Edward Flint, the testator's brother, 16/- to be paid every four weeks, of which 13/- will be raised from his house in Digbeth, Birmingham occupied by Thomas Ryley and 3/- from his Digbeth house inhabited by - Horton (widow); 5. to Elizabeth Fairfax and her lawful heirs and in default of such issue to William Fairfax and his lawful heirs and in default of such issue to John Fairfax and his lawful heirs, the Digbeth house let to Thomas Ryley; 6. to the testator's wife Elizabeth's neice the widow of Thomas White of Gloucester and her lawful issue, and in default of such issue to Elizabeth Fairfax and her lawful issue, and in default of such issue to William Fairfax and his lawful issue and default of such issue to John Fairfax and his lawful issue, the Digbeth house where Widow Horton lives; 7. to Elizabeth Fairfax, £20/8/-; 8. to the testator's wife Elizabeth's niece the wife of Moses Shaw, £5; 9. to the testator's nepehw Samuel Flint, £5; 10. to the testator's cousin Edward Flint of Berkswell, Warwickshire, £5; 11. to John Camden, schoolmaster of Stockwell, £5; 12. £5 to be equally divided between John Camden's children; 13. to Mary the wife of Robert Macbriar of Worcester, £5; 14. to Henry Camden of Birmingham, £5; 15. to Elizabeth White, £5; 16. to the testator's cousin Thomas Camden, £5; 17. to John Tipler of Southam, Warwickshire, the testator's former servant, £5; 18. to the testator's former servant Ann Ryley, £5; 19. to the testator's nephew William Fairfax, £5; 20. £10 will be paid to the poor of Coventry, as devised by John Fairfax and the overseers of the will; 21. residual estate wil be equally divided between John and Elizabeth Fairfax; 22. John and Elizabeth Fairfax are appointed executors; 23. Abraham Owen (mayor and alderman of Coventry) and Julius Olds (of Coventry, mercer) are appointed overseers and paid 2 guineas each.
