Whereby, having recited: firstly and secondly, PA529/1,2; thirdly, that William Eborall [III] subsequently died, leaving as his children Susanna Devereux Eborall and Caroline Waldron Eborall (of Atherstone, Warwickshire, spinsters) and Louisa Moore (widow) who is now the wife of Edmund Simonds (of Liverpool, Lancashire, general agent); fourthly, a 23-24 Jan 1822 lease and release whereby (having rehearsed: first, that under PA592/2 William Eborall [III]'s daughters became entitled to freehold and copyhold property at Balsall and Fen End in Balsall [see PA529/3-15] and at Wootton Green, Berkswell, Atherstone, Hampton-in-Arden and Barston (all Warwickshire), Nortoft (Northamptonshire) and Witherley and Ratcliffe Culey (Leicestershire) and to Coventry county freeholds; second, that on 11 Aug 1821 the daughters agreed to partition the greater part of the freeholds but not those deeds'; third, that inter alia Sovereign Close (1a. 1r. 1p.), Saint Michael's parish, Coventry, as shown in the 1822 release's second schedule, should be sold in order to discharge partition-expenses and the daughters share any surplus; and fourth, that Lucy Moore was to marry Edward Simonds) for 10/- L. Moore entrusted John Vinrace and Thomas Heath (in 1823 described as of Atherstone; respectively woolstapler and gentleman) with her share in first- and second-scheduled hereditaments to enable them to sell the latter; fifthly, that Moore did marry E. Simonds; sixthly, that Susanna Devereux Eborall, Caroline Waldron Eborall, John Vinrace and Thomas Heath have contracted to sell the close to Charles Lilly (of Coventry, esquire [silkman]) for £350 whereof J. Vinrace and T. Heath will receive one-third and the Eborall spinsters two thirds; and seventhly, that Edward and Lucy Simonds have agreed to participate: therefore (in consideration of payment by Charles Lilly of £233/6/8 to Susanna D. Eborall and Caroline W. Eborall and £116/13/4 to Vinrace and Heath, and of 5/- each by C. Lilly and his trustee Henry Lea (of Coventry, gentleman [solicitor]) to each of S.D. Eborall, C.W. Eborall, Vinrace, Heath, E. Simonds and L. Simonds) Vinrace, Heath, S. Eborall, C. Eborall, E. Simonds and L. Simonds convey to Lilly and Henry Lea - reserving the western section that has been staked out as a wagon road - Little Close alias the Stripe, since called Several Close but now Sovereign Close (c.1a.), Saint John Baptist's alias Saint Michael's parish in the Coventry suburbs near Spon End and adjacent to Summerland Butts Lane, successively occupied by Cleophas Dullison, the currier William Smart, William Eborall [III] and now Sarah Garner; the Eborall spinsters and E. Simonds covenant for assurance and peaceable possession.
