Whereby, having recited: firstly, the fact of the Coventry Building Society; and secondly, that William Sansome Davis (of Coventry, baker) has two shares therein, each worth £120, for which he pays a subscription of £1 per month and is entitled to receive £240: therefore, as empowered by CCA/2/3/13/39, William Sansome Davis charges to Joseph Cash [stuffmerchant], Richard Kevitt Rotherham and James Sibley Whittem [currier] (all of Coventry, esquires) the four messuages which William Ascough [III] built on the northern side of Much Park Street near Newgate's site but lie in a yard behind other of William S. Davis' property which is not hereby mortgaged (these four were inhabited by John Newcomb, Edward Ellis, William Cole and Richard Bray, but now by -) with right of road from the street and joint use of the yard, water tap, privies and ash pit with occupiers of the non-mortgaged messuages; to be held so long as William S. Davis makes the recited payments but with power to sell if he defaults, whereupon the society should pay for rnsurance, repairs and the debt out of the sale-moneys, allowng W.S. Davis any surplus.
