Whereby, having recited: firstly, PA491/80/1; secondly, that on 8 Jun 1793 a bankruptcy commission against William Windsor (in 1799 described as of Ashted, Aston parish near Birmingham, Warwickshire, builder) was directed to Charles Wallett Willes, William Smith and Pritchard Smith (esquires) and William Whateley and John Maudsley (gentlemen); thirdly, that they adjudged William Windsor bankrupt; fourthly, a 3 Aug 1793 bargain and sale whereby (having rehearsed: first, the bankruptcy commission and subsequent proceedings; and second, that the major part of the commissioners (meeting at Edward Hart's Hart's Hotel and Swan Inn, High Street, Birmingham on 2 Aug [1793] along with those to whom W. Windsor owed £10 and more), namely Charles "Wallet" Willes, Pritchard Smith and William Whateley, nominated James Alston (button maker), William Smith (carpenter) and John Green (druggist) to be trade assignees) Windsor sold James Alston et al his effects and claim to the moneys, as did Charles Wallet Willes et al the messuages for the creditors' benefit; fifthly, a 1 Mar [1799] bargain and sale whereby (having rehearsed: first, the previously-detailed deed; but secondly, that only John Green executed it because the others had refused to act, only he has since died, so Alexander Forrest (porter brewer) and John Rotton (merchant) were appointed bankruptcy assignees instead) J. Alston and W. Smith released the premises to Alexander Forrest and John Rotton, the other W. Smith and P. Smith also participating; sixthly, that Windsor cannot repay Samuel Barnett (of King's Bromley, Staffordshire, esq.) the £4,500 lent under PA491/80/1; and seventhly, that the premises have been auctioned and Richard Hodierne (of Coventry, silkweaver) has bid highest at £84 but that it has been agreed that Samuel Barnett should receive that money in part payment: therefore (for £84 paid by Richard Hodierne and 5/- by his trustee Samuel Read (of Coventry, ribbon weaver) to S. Barnett, and 5/- by R. Hodierne and Samuel Read to A. Forrest and J. Rotton) Barnett, Forrest and Rotton convey to Hodierne and S. Read two messuages (described as in PA491/80/1) with use of a pump in the backside jointly with the users of what John Parker has purchased, paying proportionately towards upkeep, and with use of an entry to the yard and a cellar beneath the two houses (now occupied by the waterman Charles Westwick and the weaver James Moore).
