Son of William Isaac Iliffe (q.v.), the Coventry newspaper proprietor, from whom he inherited land at Allesley - see PA466/5/2 p.221 for his sale of some in 1939. Born, 9 Oct 1874; married (31 May 1906) Aveline Bertha Mantell (died, 6 Sep 1954) and died on 30 Sep 1942. His effects were £662991 1s 1d. Lived at Whiteleye, Surrey. Mortgagee for 72, Broadway, Earlsdon (1913 - PA466/5/4 p.192). Presented new windows to St. Mary's Hall, 1930 - see brochure in the searchroom pamphlet box C1(a). As his father's executor, 1915-31, when he lived at Allesley Hall, see CCA/2/3/34/97,99: PA2507/2/3-5: PA2770/9/3. Gave two tapestry panels to be hung in Saint Mary's Hall, 1939 - see PA2684/5/5/7. With the Methodist Central Hall, Iliffe paid rentcharge upon Greyfriars' Lane land - see PA2691/3/54. Iliffe was mortgage-assignee for 40 & 41, Hertford Street and 1-7, Biull Yard, 1913-21 (see PA2770/14/8-13 passim). See PA2950/2/1/1/41.
