Whereby, having recited: firstly, that this deed is supplemental to the Worcester Diocesan Trust Deed 1895; secondly, that Edward Lynes (of Coventry, medical doctor), Charles James Bill (of 10, Olney Road, Putney, Middlesex, esq.), William Fitzthomas Wyley (of Coventry, esq.), Reverend Francis John Eld (of Polstead Rectory, Colchester[, Essex], clerk in Holy Orders), John Platts Hughes (of Folkestone, Kent, esq.) and Arthur Seymour (solicitor), Charles Davidson (medical doctor), James George Collins Graham (wine and spirit merchant), Rowland Hill (watch-manufacturer), Richard Botham Caldicott (ribbon-manufacturer) and John Herbert (esq.), all of Coventry, are the current Mercers' Company trustees; thirdly, that they therefore possess property, including this deed's; fourthly, that they have agreed to sell this deed's premises to Reverend Rowland Forster Hanning on behalf of the Church Extension Society for Coventry archdeaconry for £181/10/-; fifthly, that that Society wants the property to be secured for Worcester diocese's benefit; and sixthly, that Reverend John Howard Bertram Masterman (vicar of Saint Michael's, Coventry), William Fitzthomas Wyley and Richard Botham Caldicott will administer the land in accordance with the trust deed: therefore Edward Lynes et al convey to the Right Honourable Francis Richard Charles Guy Greville (Earl Brooke and Earl of Warwick), the Right Honourable Charles George, Viscount Cobham, the Venerable William Walters (of "Saint Peter's", Malvern Wells, Worcestershire; Archdeacon of Worcester), the Venerable William Bree (of Allesley Rectory near Coventry, Warwickshire, archdeacon), Charles Pelham Lane (of Maundsley Hall, King's Norton, Worcestershire, esq.), Howard Lloyd (of Grafton Manor near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, esq. [bank manager]), Joshua Hirst Wheatley (of Berkswell Hall, Coventry, Warwickshire, esq.), George Ferguson Chance (of Clent Grove near Stourbridge, Worcestershire, esq.) and Arthur Charles Cherry (of Henwick Hall, Worcester, banker), trustees of Worcester Diocesan Trust Deed 1895, a 2-r. garden on the western side of Swan Lane which was part of 1a. 3r. 4p. which used to be part of Swan Lane Close and an allotment, shown edged in pink on this deed's plan (bounded north by - Dexter's land and that formerly Hawkins Nichols', east by the lane, and south and west by other of the Mercers' Company's land); to be held by the Earl of Warwick et al so that a church mission room might be built there but with the option for E. Lynes et al to repurchase the plot if it prove unsuitable; Lynes et al acknowledge Warwick et al's right to see second-scheduled deeds.
First Schedule:
1. The diocesan trustees are those for Worcester diocese.
2. The trusts are declared by the diocesan trust deed.
3. The diocesan trustees should hold the land as the site for what will be used as a mission room or for other purposes requested by Reverend John Howard Bertram Masterman et al as administrative trustees with which they agree.
4. There will be no personal obligation upon the diocesan trustees to maintain the premises, but the admninistrative ones should raise money for that, as by defaiult will the diocesan.
5. The trust may be modfied if the mission hall become a church.
6. (A) continuing administrative trustee(s) may appoint substitutes for any who shall have become ineligible through death, leaving the area, incompetence or ceasing to adhere to Anglicanism, the diocesan trustees so appointing by default.
