Whereby (in consideration of £4,500 paid by Samuel Barnett (of King's Bromley, Staffordshire, gentleman) to William Windsor (of Ashted, Aston parish near Birmingham, Warwickshire, builder) and of 10/- each by Samuel Barnett to John Crump (of Coventry, gentleman; trustee for William Windsor's purchase of part of the premises) and James Ware (of Birmingham, gentleman; trustee for W. Windsor's purchase of the other part)) Windsor, John Crump and James Ware charge to S. Barnett (a) a messuage with bakehouse (now converted into tenements), etc. on the western side of Much Park Street once inhabited by Edward Adams, later by Edward Newcombe, Elizabeth Beaumont, Ann Dewey, Ann Wicks, James Anderson and Widow Ledger, now by -; (b) the messuage adjoining (a), once occupied by Joseph Grey, later by William Cartlidge, Joseph Harris and Thomas Greenway, now by -; (c) fifteen messuages to the rear on the northern side of the street [sic], occupied by -, near the former New Gate, having a 14-yard frontage, about the same width at the back and 44 yards long (with a messuage lately held by Robert Whittering, now by -, on the east and one lately held by Ann Aiscough on the west) which Windsor built on the site of several old tenements which he had bought which had been inhabited by Daniel Dalton, Thomas Freckleton, John Worley, Ambrose Terry and - Prime; (d) two messuages (formerly three) on the southern side of Dead Lane on the site of two stables, successively held by (1) William Pooley and Joseph Johnson, (2) Mary Pooley (widow) and Charles Hawthorn, (3) John Clarke, Joseph Ewbank and Joseph Smith, now (4) -; (e) a croft which adjoins (d), used as a cherry orchard [cf. CCA/2/3/185/1], covering 1a. and held successively by W. Pooley, M. Pooley, Sarah Freckleton, Edward Berry Freckleton with Thomas Freckleton and now Daniel Dalton; (f) five new houses which Windsor has built on (e), inhabited by -; (g) a messuage in Dead Lane Court, successively the dwelling of (1) the gentleman John Skears, (2) Mary Wedgewood and the widow Ann Pepper and now (3) -; and (h) a dwelling, which comprises a cellar, kitchen and three chambers, along with a garden, on the southern side of Dead Lane adjacent to (g) but formerly occupied by Thomas Horse simultaneously with M. Wedgewood and Mary Dickenson: for redemption of £4,500 at £5% per annum interest (with insurance) on 1 Sep [1791]; Windsor covenants that within a month he will insure for at least £-; Barnett enjoys power of sale six calendar months after notice of payment-default[; parts for which J. Crump and J. Ware respectively are trustees are not specified].
