This early nineteenth century surveyor was master of Edward Phillips who also followed that profession in Coventry (see PA101/8/731). He was an overseer of the Allesley poor in 1780 and 1808 (see PA295/48/69-72, 103: PA279/59/20). One of his early tasks was to survey Foleshill for enclosure in 1774 (see PA207/1/1: PA1001/1). See also PA202/20/1.VI. The next year he acted likewise at Coleshill - see PA47/40/1. In 1809 he surveyed the estate which Sir Richard Hill (q.v.) had at Whitmore Park (see PA166/1 folios 19 and 20). He surveyed the Foleshill estate of Richard Hopkins in 1776 - see PA279/1/1; PA279/4/1. For Bond's Hospital feoffees he surveyed Fillongley Hall Farm (1777 - PA54/63/1) and a farm at Bulkington, Warwickshire (1778 - PA54/54/1; PA54/61/1). Eagle in 1809 evaluated Allesley parish rectorial tithes (PA56/11/5,16,23). Dead by 1817 - see PA56/121/1-2. Eagle surveyed Lutterworth for enclosure in 1790-91 - see PA279/4/47/8,10,12,14,15,17,20,22. By then living at Baginton, Warwickshire, Eagle was an enclosure commissioner for Balsall, 1802 (see PA491/2/11; PA491/3/1). In 1813 the silkman John Smith owed money to Eagle, who was associated with the bankers Lant & Bunney (PA2398/6/2/6/33). An assignee for Coleshill, Warwickshire lands, 1790-91 (see PA1049/18/20-22). As a trustee of the will of Edward Eagle, 1798ff, see CCA/2/3/194/23,27,36 (died, 1816). As a son-in-law of the Allesley gentleman John Barber (q.v.), Eagle was interested in Mill Lane property to 1786 - see CCA/2/3/912/9-12. In 1784 the ex-baker John White (q.v.) of Astley, Warwickshire named Eagle as an executor - see CCA/2/3/940/8. See CCA/2/3/595/7.
