Whereby, having recited: firstly, CCA/2/3/128/39; secondly, Jonathan Keene[I]'s death and probate; thirdly, CCA/2/3/128/40; and fourthly, that Jonathan Keene [II] (of Coventry, cork cutter) needs £500: therefore Jonathan Keene [II] charges to Mary Lythall (of Coventry, spinster) (a) what used to be four messuages once occupied by the mortgagor and his tenants but now are three inhabited by him, Wainwright and Dillon; and (b) six messuages (successively one and two) with a factory and carpenter's shop (lately occupied as in CCA/2/3/128/40 but now by Mrs. Lovell, Watts, Poole, Taylor, Shard and Smith), bounded on the west and part of the south by Charles Price's property, on the rest of the south by John Whittem's, east by (a) and north by the street; subject to payment out of (a) of 4/- per week annually to Rebecca Tawell [Jonathan Keene[I]'s daughter, according to PA101/7/229] for life and then £5 legacies to each of her children, for redemption of £500 at £4/10/-% per annum interest on 14 Nov [1853]; power of sale six calendar months after notice; covenant to insure for at least £500.
