The testatrix bequeaths to her husband for life her share in ... the "Bear" inn, Coventry (occupied by Sarah Lindopp, widow and John Palmer); then, a moiety will pass to John Webster [II] (son of the testatrix' kinsman John Webster [I] of Canley, Warwickshire, gentleman and Sarah Webster his wife) and his heirs, and the other moiety successively to William Grundy (son of the testatrix' kinsman Nicholas Grundy and his wife Hannah Grundy), his heirs and Hannah's heirs: after Samuel Collins' death, land at Bedworth, Warwickshire will go to Mary Webster (John [II]'s eldest sister): with £100 assured by her husband at the time of their marriage, the testatrix gives her sister Sarah Davill (of Stoke Golding, Leicestershire) £10 for mourning, £60 to John Webster [I] and Sarah (the testatrix' niece) to provide mourning for themselves and their children, and £30 to Nicholas and Hannah Grundy (she being the testatrix' niece); the testatrix entusts John [I] and Sarah Webster with £160 so that they might pass on £20 to John [II], £100 to Mary and £40 to their other daughter Hannah Webster; the testatrix leaves £50 to Nicholas and Hannah Grundy for their son William Grundy; she discharges James Lee of Canley from his £5 debt to her; the testatrix' current maidservant will receive £4 for mourning; Mr. Davill (Sarah Davill's kinsman), Mr. Mersall and Mr. Warren will accept 40/- each; John Saunders senior of Bedworth and his son John [junior] will take 20/- each; the testatrix' sometime servant Alice Oalmer, widow will get 40/-, as will the testatrix' kinswoman Mary Ward the wife of John Ward; 20/- each will be enjoyed by the testatrix' kinswoman Hannah Collins the wife of John Collins, the testatrix' kinsman Thomas Steell of Badgley, Katherine Pickard (wife of Henry Pickard senior) and Mrs. Abigail Bedford; 10/- each will pass to Ann Dry (wife of Abraham Dry senior of Styvechale), the testatrix' former servant Ann Gregory the wife of John Gregory, Mary Elisse the wife of John Elisse, Mary Perkins the wife of Jonathan Perkins, Sarah ... (the testatrix' present maid), Widow Haycock, Mary Lee the wife of James and Widow Twitty: the testatrix intends that 40/--worth of bread be distributed amongst the Gosford Street Ward poor within one week of her death, and that £3 be apportioned between maids and widows (or others at her executor's discretion) within one month of her decease (although 10/- of this will be for James Godard of Canley); [John I] Webster will distrubute 40/- amongst the poor of Stoneleigh, Warwickshire; the residuary money and £15 promised by her husband from sale of the testatrix' Catthorpe[, Leicestershire] barn will pass to Samuel, her husband and executor: the husband will acquire plate bearing the testatrix' maiden-name initials, some linen and her brother's history books for distribution between her nieces Sarah Webster and Hannah Grundy or their children.
