Whoberley Hall, Coventry, farmer (1932). Valued Allesley land, 1917-19 - see PA279/44/12305, 12419, 124429, 12434, 12443, 12455-12457, 12542, 12682, 12762. In 1930 Billing gave up the Sir Thomas White's Charity land which he rented to W.H. Jones & Son for housing (see PA488/1/6/276). Billing Road, Chapelfields is therefore eponymous. In PA2002/10/1.I he is described as an occupier of one of four cottages on Allesley Old Road. Billing was at Wyken when he became a mortgagee of 18, Hertford Street in 1899 but had moved to Whoberley by when that was discharged in 1906 - see CCA/2/3/34/86,87. PA2307 comprises the auctioneering firm's papers. He gave up land for develoopment of the estatre which included Billing Road - cf. PA2307/163/64 (1928).
