1860 - 1922. He was head of Cash's ribbon-manufacturers in 1912 when he featured in "Coventry Celebrities in Cartoon" (City Archives searchroom library reference: box C7). This Liberal councillor gave land for the enlargement of Radford Recreation Ground, and with the Socialist S.G. Poole advocated the development of a garden suburb in that area. Cash was a J.P. and on the Board of Guardians. Cash lived at Newfield, Kingfield Road in 1909; the next year he was a transferee of Sowe Fields Farm mortgage and actually died on 15th. Nov., 1922 (see PA202/25/17). At 5, Lydgate Road, Radford in 1917 when interested in a Narrow Lane field - see PA279/44/12292. Lessor of "Brookside", Radford in 1916 (see PA466/5/1 fol. 2), Cash bought 174, Kingfield Road (1911 - PA466/6/2 fol. 236). On city council, 1908-11. PA556/12 are plans of "Newfield". For his involvement with the family firm, see PA562, especially PA562/3/1,14; PA562/22/3; PA562/69/2/18; PA562/108; PA562/160/1. For Cash's Corley, Warwickshire land, see PA1681/41/49,57. He sold Newfield House to family members and others [for use as a school] in 1921 (PA1681/68/1.I). Qua Spencer's Charity trustee from his 1910 appointment, see PA2398/6/4/1/4,5. Cash let 4a. to his factory's caretaker in 1920 (see PA2307/20/1). Bought land at Steeple Fields [near "Newfield"] in 1902 - see PA2770/43/1 (attachment 1).
