I 13 Jan 1894. Conveyance whereby, having recited: firstly, that Henry Barnett Bellison (of Hollyberry End, Meriden parish, Warwickshire, farmer) by his 20 Feb 1872 will left his nephew William Burton (in 1894 described as of Allesley, Warwickshire, gentleman) his farm in Exhall and Foleshill parishes (occupied by John [Edward] Whiting) and tithe on Sandy Croft with remainder to Mary Jane Dale (in 1894 the wife of William Dale of Lansdowne Terrace, Coventry, veterinary surgeon), Sarah Lucy Burton (in 1894 Sarah Lucy Barton [sic] of "The Elms", Coundon [,Coventry], widow) and William Arthur Burton (in 1894 of Coventry, auctioneer and stock and share broker); and secondly, that Henry Barnett Bellison died on 15 Mar 1872 and that his will was proved on 10 May [1872]: therefore for £350 William Burton conveyed to Mary Jane Dale et al (a) a farmhouse with appurtenances (3r. 31p.) at Exhall; (b) fields in Exhall parish near the farmhouse, namely Gospel Oak Field (5a. 2r. 5p.), Home Field (6a. 3r. 34p.), Crab Tree Field (5a. 3r. 10p.), The Meadow (3a. 0r. 29p.) and "The Riding Bit" (1a. 0r. 21p.); and (c) fields in Foleshill parish nearby, namely Sparrow Hall Close (4a. 1r. 20p.), "The Pike and Six Acres" (together 9a. 3r. 1p.), "The Five Acres" (5a. 1r. 35p.), Bottom Field (4a. 2r. 25p.) and Front Piece (3a. 0r. 33p.).
II 7 Jan 1897. Conveyance whereby, having recited: firstly, Henry Barnett Bellison's will, death and probate; secondly, I; thirdly, that Mary Jane Burton married William Dale (in 1897 described as of Coventry, veterinary surgeon) on 24 Jan 1882 at Spetchley Chapel near Worcester; and fourthly, that Sarah Lucy Burton married Arthur Edward Jagger (in 1897 of "The Elms", Coundon, Coventry, esq. [silkman]) on 2 Apr 1894 at Saint -'s, Edgbaston, Birmingham: therefore, in consideration of £715/113/4 paid to the Dales and as much to the Jaggers, those couples conveyed to William Arthur Burton their shares in the premises.
