I 29-30 Apr 1715. Lease and Release by Humphrey Burton (son and heir of the late Humphrey Burton) to his siblings John, George and Elizabeth Burton of a little meadow at the bottom of his woods near Golden Green, Keresley as directed by their father's will.
II 26-27 May 1716. Lease and Release by John, George, Elizabeth and Humphrey Burton to Robert Smith of Keresley of a close called Brooks, a parcel near New Meadow, and two Brooks Meadows, all at Keresley and occupied by the Burtons.
III 26 Feb 1722. Will of Robert Smith which left the premises to his daughters Sarah, "Elianor" and Elizabeth with right of survivorship.
IV 12-13 Feb 1741. Lease and Release, for £106, by Robert Cheney (of Fillongley, Warwickshire, farmer) with his wife Elianor (nee Smith), and Thomas Shakespear junior (of Keresley, yeoman) with his wife Elizabeth (nee Smith), to Edward Deane (of Braydon, Wiltshire, yeoman) of their shares in the property, covenanting to levy a final concord.
V Hilary Term, 14 George II. Final Concord whereby Edward Dean [sic] was querent and Richard Adcock with his wife Valentine [sic], the Cheneys and the Shakespears deforciants, for one messuage, one garden, one orchard, 1a. land, 1a. pasture and 2a. covered with water; and for two-thirds of 6a. meadow and 17a. land in Coundon[-in-]Urchenfield and Keresley.
VI 19-20 Aug 1766. Lease and Release, for £330, by Edward Dean and his wife Sarah (nee Smith) to William Newton (of Foleshill, Coventry, gardener) of all the premises, with Robert Cheney (of "Lea", Warwickshire, yeoman) as trustee for Thomas Shakespear (of Keresley, yeoman) to levy a final concord.
N.B.: No fine yet found.
VII 1 Sep 1766. Demise in Trust whereby, in consideration of £200 paid by Edward Langford (of Folsehill, Coventry, gentleman) to Thomas Shakespear, that man granted to Edward Langford a £20 annuity, charged upon the premises, which T. Shakespear and Robert Cheney demised to Richard Richardson of Foleshill and Abel Palmer of Coventry, gentlemen, for 99 years.
