Reciting that George Lilly of Coventry, gentleman. by his will dated 30 Sep 1785 devised the property described below to his son Charles Lilly and, after Charles' death to Charles' wife Mary Lilly and their children. By a codicil to the will dated 25 Mar 1797 he confirmed this and named the children (ie his grandchildren) as Charles Lilly and Ann Tatlock (then Ann Lilley). George Lilly's will was proved on 13 Apr 1798. Charles Lilly the grandson died 9 Jul 1805 leaving Ann Tatlock as his heir. Charles Lilly the son died in Apr 1834. Now for £450 paid to Mary Lilly and her daughter Ann Tatlock by David Shakespear Waters, the property is conveyed to them by Waters. The property is now described as a messuage etc situated without the place where the Grey Friars Gate heretofore stood and near to a place where sometime since was a horsepool and in a street now called Warwick Row, extending from Warwick Row to Pudding Croft, the messuage heretofore in the tenure of William Pemberton, since of Samuel Pinches, now or late of Benjamin George.
