This is one of a selection of vehicles from the pages of "Autombiles of the World" which was edited by WE de B Whittaker and Capt PA Barron and published in 1921. Illustrated: The Armstrong Siddeley 30 hp (4,960cc) was the first model offered. From 1924 front wheel brakes were fitted and the model remained in production until the early thirties although with a single cylinder block after 1926. The artist's impression of the Laudaulette version conveys the uncluttered but decidedly ponderous look that characterised early Armstrongs, but it is relevant to point out that the claimed chassis weight was the same as that of the E-type 30/98 Vauxhall; overall weight was in the region of two tons and a top speed estimated at 65 mph
