1687 - 1746. Neale was M.P. for Coventry in 1722 and 1727 (see PA96/59/5), lost the 1734 general election (see BA/L/O/15/1), returned in 1736 and was ousted in 1741 his efforts at bribery; he had represented Chipping Wycombe in 1721 - see T.W. Whitley: "The Parliamentary Representation of the City of Coventry" (searchroom library reference 324.4248) pp. 148-156 passim). There was a portrait of Neale in the Minstrels' Gallery, St. Mary's Hall. Neale was a J.P. - see PA295 passim. The Weavers' Company invited him to their 1723 feast - see PA34/1. For the 1736 and 1741 campaigns, see PA248, series 6,7. PA244/48/13 (endorsement), 14 (endorsement) relate to the 1736 campaign. For the 1727 campaign, see BA/L/M/14/1: BA/M/H/2/4,6,7,12,15,17-21,23. Son of Henry Neale (q.v.) he was an Allesley Church Estate feoffee from 1707 - see PA494/2/1 Lord of Allesley manor, he enjoyed the advowson in 1739. Vestee of Butts land's terms, 1724-42 (PA56/91/1,21: PA849/8/1.II,III).
