For £210, by the mayor, bailiffs and commmonalty of Richard Malcher (of London, apothecary) with a messuage (now or late inhabited by the widow Frances Barnett) on the southern side of Earl Street between the capper Luke Barnes' dwelling on the east and Richard Hopkins, esq.'s [Palace Yard] property on the west, having a 9-foot frontage, comprised of four bays and an apartment for closets which is 7 feet by 6 feet, plus a shore or wash house over Luke Barnes' cellar, also two small courtyards held by Frances Barnett: to be held subject to a 1 Jun 1693 lease to F. Barnett; covenant for further assurance within six years; the corporation appoint Thomas Diston (of Coventry, alderman [mercer]) attorney to deliver seisin.
15 Dec 1703. Letter of Attorney [attached] whereby Richard Malcher appoints Catesby [Oadham] "Oadhams" (of Coventry, alderman [mercer]) attorney to receive seisin.
1 Apr 1704. Livery of seisin endorsed.
