A St. Michael's churchwarden, 1684. A city warden, 1692. Occupied a Much Park St. tenement, 1683 - see BA/D/A/19/9 (ac). In 1687 Mitchell enfeoffed Alderman Thomas King (q.v.) with part of a croft beyond Bishop Street Gate (PA1681/4/1: cf. PA96/42/2). This carrier occupied Earl Street property in 1685 which he bought two years later and kept until he died in 1727 - see PA56/73/9-17(will); he bought in 1694 nearby property in Little Park Street which he already partly held and similarly retained - see CCA/2/3/113/1-4. See PA2398/7/1/5 (1687). From 1723 Mitchell had a Dead Lane messuage (see CCA/2/3/380/1.3).
