By Richard Holland Goode (of Allesley, Warwickshire, esq.) to John Burbidge (of Coventry, draper), James Wall (of Bridgnorth, Shropshire, gentleman), William Newark (timbermerchant) and Stephen Hammerton, John Pratt and Thomas Soden (all silkmen), all of Coventry, Thomas Cope (late of Coventry, now of Osbaston Hall, Leicestershire, esq.) and William Lynes (gentleman), Cornelius Tomkinson Lockitt (hatter), Luke Dresser (gentleman) and Francis Skidmore (pewterer), all of Coventry, Holy Trinity church estate feoffees, that portion of a Popeshead Alley messuage (lately occupied by Thomas [II] Pratt) which is on the northern side of a wall dividing the parlour from the kitchen and which also lies on the northern side of a wall which Richard Holland Goode has built in the underground kitchen and upper rooms so as to make an entire party wall throughout the height of the building, comprising detailed rooms shown on a marginated plan and adjoining on the west the feoffees' messuage which fronts Cross Cheaping: reserving twice-yearly inspection, to be held from 21 Dec 1855 for 999 years at £8/10/- per annum with re-entry if the rent fall forty days behindhand or there be breach of covenant; the feoffees will repair within three calendar months of notice and will insure for at least £250.
