At the court baron of Sir John Eardley Eardley Wilmot, baronet, following the death of John [III] Lant (of Allesley, Warwickshire, gentleman) who by will (20 Dec 1836) gave a copyhold messuage and pleck [a small enclosure] (1a.) adjoining Nailcote Hall to his youngest brother Richard [I] who by custom therefore is admitted (by the steward John Twist [solicitor]) to the premises, which are (a) the dwelling house and croft aforesaid (adjoining the Beechwood-Westwood Heath road, land once William Price's and that once the late James Gibbs') and (b) a parcel lately lying within Nailcote Hall Lane (bounded east by old enclosures once John [III] Lant's but now Richard [I] Lant's, west by Nailcote Hall Lane; subject to right of road across it) - all occupied by- Wilday, widow.
