The testatrix bequeaths to her cousin Henry Standbridge (of Bubbenhall, Warwickshire, cordwainer) for life a messuage and closes in Kenilworth (occupied by [the timber-merchant] William Steel), he paying thereout £40 each to his sisters Mary and Hannah two years after the testatrix' death, although thereupon Thomas Norris (of Bubbenhall, grazier) will become trustee during Henry Standbridge's life to preserve contingent remainders, after which the estate will pass successively to Henry's sons and issue by seniority, his daughter and issue equally, and Mary and Hannah in common; the testatrix' cousin Mary [I] the wife of Edward Williams (of Warwick, joiner) will accept a messuage with appurtenances in St. Nicholas' parish, Warwick, inhabited by Benjamin Hands; her cousin John [II] the son of John [I] Radford (of St. Nicholas' parish aforesaid, yeoman) will take £20, her cousin Joseph Radford £5, her cousin Elizabeth Bentley £10, Mary [II] and Sarah the daughters of Edward Williams £20 each, Sarah the daughter of William Mills (of Warwick, gardener) will accept £5, Mary and Hannah Standbridge £60 each besides the aforementioned legacies, Mary [I] Williams detailed household goods plus half the testatrix' apparel and linen, her cousin Mary the wife of - Adkins (of Stoney Stratford [,Buckinghamshire (no trade)]) £20 and the other half of the apparel and linen, her cousin John Hudson (of Leamington Hastings parish, Warwickshire, servant) £20, her cousin Thomas Hudson £20, her cousin Esther the wife of - Gilbert £15, her cousin Elizabeth the wife of - Cooper £15, the children of her late cousin Hannah the wife of Joseph "Ellitt" £40 between them, and her cousin Richard Masters junior £5 and a large Bible, all within one year of her death or the beneficiaries' reaching 21 if then still infants; the testatrix' cousin Ann the wife of James Brookes of Coventry will receive £110 whence the executors may claim the £100 which her husband owes the testatrix under bond until the interest thereon exceeds the £10 balance, otherwise the legacy is revoked; the vicar and churchwardens of St. Nicholas', John Bird, James Williams, Elias Adams, John [II] Radford, Edward Williams and Joseph Radford, all of that parish, are entrusted with £60 for distribution amongst the poor at their discretion, otherwise investing the sum and distributing it every 21 Dec [see Victoria Country History, Warwickshire Vol. VIII, p.547]; residuary estate passes to the testatrix' cousin Henry Standbridge, who is named executor along with Edward Williams and Thomas Norris.
