By John de Stoke iuxta Coventry to his son and heir Robert and that man's wife Margaret (daughter of Sir Roger de Aillesbury, knight) of a Foleshill manor called le Marnyeue with appurtenances in that parish and Stoke, Harnall and Radford, viz.:- (a) in Foleshill - 3/8 per annum rent from a messuage with fields and moors which John le Wolf holds from John de Stoke; 8/4 per annum from three enclosed crofts, etc., which Thomas de Holbroke holds; 4/- per annum from a messuage with land which John le Cart[er]e holds; 16d. per annum from a messuage and land which Thomas Emmote's widow Ann holds; 3/4 per annum from a messuage with land which Henry the son of Walter holds; 3/4 per annum from a messuage and two crofts which John atte Grene holds; 9/4 per annum from a messuage and lands which were Ralph in le Lane's but which William in le Lane holds; 9/- rent from lands which were Roger Hawardyn's but which W. in le Lane holds; 16d. per annum from 5r. which William Prentiz holds: (b) in Stoke - 3/- per annum rent from a messuage and 2a. which Robert de Walton' holds; 4/4 per annum from a messuage and croft which Stephen le Webbe holds; 20d. per annum from a messuage and a moiety of two crofts which John de Baxt[er]le holds; 12d. per annum from a field called le Labour, lying between a marlpit and the road called le Wodegrene, which St. John Baptist's Hospital holds; 4/4 per annum from a messuage and two selions which John de la Lye holds; 4/- per annum from a messuage and land which John Bate junior holds; 2/- per annum rent from 2a., four butts and a headland which Simon de la Lye holds; 5/10 per annum from a messuage with croft and meadow which S. de la Lye holds; 20d. per annum from a piece of land in Wymondesfeld' which John de Arthingworth holds; 14d. per annum from 2a. in le Parkfeld' which William le Reve holds; 7/- per annum from a croft called Pyghel, and from 25 selions and 6r. which Henry de Canle holds; 4/- per annum rent from a messuage and half virgate which John le Bonde holds; 6/8 per annum rent from a messuage with croft, and from half a virgate with a field, which Gregory de Wyk [discerned under ultraviolet light] holds; 20d. per annum from a messuage and quartern of land with meadow which John Knyght holds; 12d. per annum from an enclosed field called Wymondesfeld' which Robert de Suttone holds; 7/7 per annum from a half virgate with meadow, and from three enclosed fields, called Longcroft, Pekerescroft and Lewynescroft, which R. de Suttone holds; 7/6 per annum from a messuage, a half virgate with meadow, and other lands which William Pope holds; 5d. per annum from 4r. in Wrydesden' and from other lands in le Parkfeld' which John the Miller holds: (c) Harnall - 7/4 per annum from various crofts and lands which Ralph Billing' holds; 4/- per annum from two crofts which John atte 3ate holds: and (d) Radford - 3/7.5 per annum from a messuage and lands which William Hornwoode holds; 4/- per annum from a messuage with land and meadow, once Robert Bundy's and John de Whytele's, which Roger del Newelond holds; 2/- per annum from a messuage, and from a croft called Asshemor with a grove, which William Harry holds; 6/10 per annum from fields which Roger Oky's heir holds; 10d. per annum from lands which were Richard de Weston''s but which the prior of Coventry holds: also, (e) two chambers and a garden in Stoke manor with free access - one chamber is called le Knyghte chambre, the other is built over the entrance-gate, whilst the garden lies between the winestore (vinar[iu]m) and Stoke chapel's graveyard:- for Foleshill manor and its aforesaid 10 marks rent, with the [Stoke] premises, the younger Stokes will pay a rose every St. John Baptist's Day, with reversion to the father if they have no issue.
