Arnold's eldest son because he would be entitled to a life interest in the late George Henry Arnold, esq.'s Ashby St. Ledgers estate). V Richard H. Lamb's first codicil as in PA1681/9/7 (endorsement) but revoking the gift to Henry Arnold entirely and adding a £1,500 legacy upon trust for Frances [II] Lamb, Catherine Arnold and Jane Catherine Lamb equally. Clough and J[ohn] H[enry] Lowndes (of Braunston, Northamptonshire, esq.) had premises beside which was a Coventry-Nuneaton railway level crossing; and secondly, that the London & North-Western Railway wished to close the crossing: therefore for £100 the L.N.W.R. stated that the Whitmore Park estate's owners should use a 20-ft.wide road from Holbrook Lane near Foleshill station to Richard C.B. Clough's and John Henry Lowndes' land [plan attached shows the crossing in the vicinity of the Black Pad footbridge north of today's Radford Aerodrome playing field and the road leading in that direction from the station]; the railway company covenanted to produce an indenture (28 May 1900) made between Albert Samuel Tomson [ribbon-dresser] et al of the first part, John Hollick [farmer] of the second and itself of the third. 1979-1990, 1993
