By mayor, bailiffs and commonalty to Elizabeth Steane (of Coventry, widow) of (a) the "George", Far Gosford Street near the site of Gosford Gate, with garden and croft to the rear, 42 yard long X 20 yards broad, also a barn; and (b) 2.5 a. behind (a), abutting upon Shortley on the south and west - all once occupied by Richard Hopkins, esq., now by her: to be held from 10 Oct 1787 for 21 years at £10 per annum payable at the Mayor's Parlour in Cross Cheaping, with twice-yearly inspection and repair within three calendar months of notice; re-entry if rent fall 21 days behindhand or there be disrepair or unlicensed assignment.
