Whereby, having recited that Guy Speke (servant to the prior) and his wife Joan leased from the late prior William Pollesworth a tenement on the northern side of Priory Gate for their lives, granting to Guy 4 marks per annum for his good service plus 3 yards of cloth for his annual livelihood, therefore Thomas Cameswell (prior) and the convent of Coventry let to the Spekes (a) those premises rentfree for their lives, also (b) "Mulhyll feldes" with a tenement upon the "fourend" of Spon Causeway toward St. James' chapel, with two gardens on either side of the lane, and two fields lying beyond Crow Moat on the further side of the lane, also "Barkers Lease" beyond St. Nicholas' (with Johns Croft on the east and Wanleys Ground on the south): to be held for life, paying for all of (b) 16/8 per annum; William Jacson is appointed attorney to deliver seisin; the priory must still feed just Guy Speke for life.
