By mayor, bailiffs and commonalty to Mary Twitty (of Coventry, widow) of a croft on the southern side of the site of Gosford Gate, between the town wall on the west and, on the east, a close (let to the miller Richard Howlett) from which it is divided by a ditch, extending 169 yards from the gate site to Howlett's Mill road, and 9 yards broad at the southern end next to the road, 17 yards in the middle and 4 yards at the northern end near the gate site; the further part is used as a ropewalk and the rest as four gardens, all successively occupied by Joseph Farren, the widow Elizabeth Shaw, the dyer John Twitty and Martha Twitty: to be held from 10 Oct 1769 for 21 years at 40/- per annum.
Endorsement that the premises were let to Mr. William Eburne.
