I PA1681/44/3. II 26 Feb 1877. Will of Joseph [I] Cash (of Coventry, ribbon-manufacturer) which named the testator's wife Sarah and friends [the ribbon-manufacturers] Henry Soden and George Alexander Pridmore his executors who would sell realty and residuary personalty and invest the consequent moneys. III 22 Nov 1877. Codicil which, describing Joseph [I] Cash as formerly a ribbon-manufacturer but then a gentleman., replaced G.A. Pridmore with Francis William Franklin (of Coventry, ribbon-manufacturer). IV 27 Nov 1878. Irrelevant codicil. V 27 Mar 1879. Codicil which added the testator's son Joseph [II] to the executorship. VI 14 Oct 1881. Joseph [I] Cash died. VII 18 Nov 1881. Joseph [I] Cash's will and codicils were proved. VIII PA1681/44/4. IX 30 Dec 1881. Mortgage whereby Newman and Arthur Cash charged inter alia the premises to Sarah Cash et al for redemption of £8,000 plus £3/15/- % p.a interest on 30 June [1882]. X 25 May 1883. Arthur Cash died. XI 17 July 1883. Administration granted to Arthur Cash's brother Joseph [II]. XII 9 Oct 1888. Mortgage whereby, having recited: firstly and secondly, VIII, IX; thirdly, that Arthur Cash died an intestate bachelor, leaving Joseph [II] Cash his heir at law; fourthly, XI; and fifthly, that Joseph [II] Cash owed William Lees Kelsall (of Headingley, Yorkshire, clothmerchant) £3,500: therefore J. [II] Cash charged to William Lees Kelsall one moiety of the premises, subject to the £8,000, for redemption of £3,500 with £4/10/- % p.a. interest on 6 Dec [1888]. XIII 30 Jan 1893. W.L. Kelsall died. XIV 27 Apr 1893. Administration granted to W.L. Kelsall's widow Katherine Barrett Kelsall. XV 6 July 1896. Administration of the unadministered part of W.L. Kelsall's estate granted to Nicholas Hitching Kelsall. XVI 13 Apr 1899. Administration of the unadministered part of W.L. Kelsall's estate granted to Revd. James Francis Downes, clerk [in Holy Orders], an executor of K.B. Kelsall. XVII 30 May 1895. Conveyance whereby, having recited: firstly and secondly, VIII, IX; thirdly, that Henry Soden died on 13 Aug 1888; fourthly, that on 9 Jan 1891 £1,120 (the poroceeds of a partial sale) were received by Joseph [I] Cash's surviving executors on account for the £8,000, thereby reducing the principal to £6,880, although £325/10/- interest was then due; and fifthly, that Newman Cash (of "Banks Hill", East Heath Road, Hampstead, London, gentleman.) had agreed to sell Joseph [II] Cash his moiety provided that the latter paid half of the £6,880 and all interest: therefore that was done. XVIII 1 Oct 1898. Conveyance whereby, having recited: firstly, Henry Soden's death; secondly the conveyance, in consideration that £1,120 had been paid to Sarah Cash (in 1898 of "Banks Hill", East Heath Road, Hampstead, London [widow]), Francis William Franklin [ribbon-manufacturer] and Joseph [II] Cash in part-discharge of the £8,000, scheduled lands were conveyed to Thomas Rawson Vickers (W.L. Kelsall and Newman Cash also participating); and thirdly, that the £6,880 principal was due with interest: therefore J. [II] Cash transferred to Sarah Cash and Francis W. Franklin that sum and his claim.
