Having recited: firstly, PA56/135/4; secondly, James Gunman's death and probate; thirdly, PA56/135/5; and fourthly, Sarah Hussey Gunman's death and probate: therefore (in consideration of £276/4/6 from William Henry Hill (watch-manufacturer), James Marriott (builder) and Joseph Olorenshaw (watch-manufacturer), all of Coventry, and 10/- from Henry Lea (of Coventry, gentleman [solicitor])) George Ralph Payne Jarvis (of Doddington Hall, Lincolnshire, esq. and colonel) conveys to Henry Lea the former Chapel Yard site, now a 1,076 square-yard garden (bounded in front by [Allesley Old Road], on one side by [Hearsall Lane] and on the other by First Chapel Field which Sir Thomas White's Charity trustees have sold under their 1845 enabling Act to William Henry Hill et al), successively occupied by John Bosworth [maltster], Thomas Slingsby ([farmer,] lately deceased) and his personal representatives; to be held by H. Lea on behalf of William H. Hill et al; covenant against claims via the Gunmans or James Gunman's ancestors; covenant to produce deeds [of which there is no schedule].
