For 5/-, Samuel Ford (of Birmingham, Warwickshire, "merchant") and his wife Anne shall as of last Hilary or next Easter term levy a final concord for a quarter-share of a messuage with appurtenances at Stoke and Wyken covering 70a., occupied by [the butcher] Joseph Hanson, to enure to the successive uses of Samuel Ford for life, his wife, their children and issue equally, and her right heirs; S. Ford or a survivor may alter trusts: furthermore, since the Fords have received the wife's £500 portion, if he survive her without issue and the clause about right heirs not take effect, and he then die, £700 shall be distributed by Thomas Forley (of Birmingham, bookkeeper) amongst her sisters and their children as Samuel might have appointed or by default be shared equally between them.
