Principal deed made on 31 Mar 1774 by Reverend Edward Harris (of Shrewsbury, Shropshire, clerk [in Holy Orders]), his wife Lucia and John Ashby (of Shrewsbury, esq.) to Charles Freeman (in 1776 of "Hollifax", Warwickshire, gentleman) of a messuage called Hallifax [Hollyfast], ground below it ,"Long Croft", "Upper Pingle","Penfield", "Marlpit Close", "Cockshott Close", "Spring Field", "the wood", "Nether Pingle", "Sheep Pasture", "Strawberry Field", "Upper Crab Tree Field" and "Nether Crab Tree Field", all lying in Allesley and then occupied by Charles Freeman in succession to John Hastelly, then to be held from [25 Mar 1774] for twenty years at £30 per annum, now transferred in consideration of £600 [sic] by C. Freeman to Samuel [I] Gibbons (of Coventry, soapboiler) for the term's residue.
