A painted polychromatic carving in wood of St George and the Dragon. The figure formerly stood in St George's Chapel on the city walls at Gosford Street Gate. It is a typical late medieval image of an armoured and mounted St George, sword raised to kill the wounded dragon lying under the hooves of his horse.
