Whereby, having recited: firstly that, at the time of his death, Thomas Morris senior (once of Coventry, silkman; late of Stoke Green near Coventry, gentleman) possessed the property; secondly, PA837/1/26.III; thirdly, PA837/1/26.IV,V; fourthly, PA837/1/26.VI; fifthly, PA837/1/26.VII,VIII; and sixthly, that Ann Sarah Bray (of "Ravenstone", Victoria Road, "Gipsey" Hill, Upper Norwood, Middlesex, widow) had the premises auctioned at the "Craven Arms", Coventry on 29 Jul [1873], whereupon James Hinds (of Coventry, chemist and druggist) bid highest for lot 1: therefore for £980 she sells to him 124 & 125, Gosford Street (one occupied by John Deemin, the other formerly by [the engineer] Gideon Blake but now vacant) with numbers 1-8 in a court behind 124 (inhabited by Joseph Swinton, Henry Woodhead, Thomas Sills, Jonathan Bales, Frederick Morgan, Joseph Wyatt Harrison, Hannah Watts and Thomas Reesby) with a strip of land, used as a road, which extends south from J. Deemin's garden to Whitefriars' Lane, all shown on a marginated plan [which reveals that Deemin's house was number 125].
